About

The network was established in October 2020 following the inaugural Talking TYA Conference and is run by volunteers. The network brings together theatre practitioners and researchers with an interest in researching Theatre for Young Audiences across the island of Ireland.

Key aims:

  • to connect TYA researchers and theatre makers on the island of Ireland.

  • to provide opportunities for research exchange and collaboration.

  • to foster discussion and co-creation of knowledge within the TYA field.

  • to provide a supportive environment for those involved in researching the creation, performance and reception of theatre made for children.

  • to help build an equitable and inclusive TYA research culture.

  • to maximise the impact of research in order to better inform TYA practice and policy.

  • to disseminate information about TYA research to a wider audience.
